I started my career in Interactive Marketing in 1996, when I returned from Japan where I had lived for several years. I had then my first business, translating my clients’ web sites into Japanese, and promoting them to Japan.
I had to shut down that business (the joy of being ahead of one's time!), so I started working in business development for Web agencies. This gave me amazing opportunities to meet with hundreds of people working in dozens of different industries, which were all at the time exploring how they could integrate the Web into their business.
Seven years ago, I decided to go back to pure consulting, and focus entirely on Web Analytics. In 2002, barely anybody was paying attention to Web Analytics; Eric T. Peterson would send me a pre-published copy of his first book for comments, a few small agencies were getting into the field in the USA, and I was developing a service offering in Web Analytics for my employer. I organized the first public seminar on the topic in Montreal on March 11, 2003. About a dozen people from large Web sites showed up; several became clients within the first year following the event.
In March 2007, I decided to listen to my entrepreneur instincts again, and gave up a well paying job with lots of benefits. What a fantastic decision it was! Clients knocked on my door right away, and have kept me busy ever since.
You can trust the quality of my work. I know I can bring your online business to the next level.
